Jesus Wept
Venue: The Bakers' Place
The coming of Immanuel, God with us, the incarnation of his Presence, is Yahweh’s answer to generations of painful lament.
In spite of Isaiah’s prophecy that the messiah would be a man of sorrows, no-one seemed to be ready for this side of Jesus. The Gospels tell us that he wept openly, unlike any man of his day. His suffering life and his suffering death were the suffering of a God who feels pain as we feel pain, the suffering of a broken God.
